High-temperature furnaces must be operational up to 2600 °C.; High-temperature furnaces must have disposable retorts with a central gas outlet with gas guides.; High-temperature furnaces must have a water-cooled vacuum vessel that is under 60 °C even if the unit is running at 2600°C.; High-temperature furnaces must be able to operate under vacuum pressure to at least 2200 °C.; High-temperature furnaces must have redundant pressure relief values for safety. ; High-temperature furnaces must have optimized vacuum systems. Pumps must be controlled through a PLC with vacuum levels data logged and automatic on/off control.; High-temperature furnaces must have a programable limiter to ensure powder or small samples are not disturbed during evacuation. For example, 1000 mbar down to 700 mbar with a pumping speed increasing linearly from 20% to 30%, 700 mbar down to 40 mbar with a pumping speed increasing linearly from 30% to 40%, and 40 mbar down to 1 mbar with a pumping speed increasing linearly from 40% to 100%. ; High-temperature furnaces must have factory-configured and PID terms installed.; High-temperature furnaces must have fully automatic control from program start to end.
