The Project involves the comprehensive rehabilitation and upgrade of the Hess Mill Pump Station. The work includes, but is not limited to: Construction of a new auxiliary wet well to increase wastewater storage capacity. Installation of new sub-mersible chopper pumps. Replacement of the force main discharge manhole. Upgrade of the electrical service to 480V, 3-phase, 200A, including installation of a new service-rated Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), a new Main Distribution Panel (MDP) with an integral step-down transformer and single-phase panelboard, and a new Pump Control Panel (PCP) with motor starters. Installation of a new 45 kW, 480V, 3-phase diesel standby generator and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Replacement of the existing chain link fence with a new PVC fence. Removal of existing arborvitaes and new landscaping. All associated civil work, earthwork (including horizontal directional boring for the force main), piping, electrical wiring, controls, and site restoration. Temporary bypass pumping during construction.
