Description: The U.S. Navy has published an active presolicitation for construction of an aircraft apron and adjoining taxiway at Royal Australian Air Force Base Tindal. The design-bid-build project includes concrete aircraft parking and taxi areas, taxiway improvements and pavement markings, an access road, and vehicle parking. The RFP is anticipated around October 13, 2026; the notice says its response date is an estimate that may change when the RFP is issued.

M48: Pavement Maintenance, Phase II RFP
Project shall consist of preventative pavement maintenance for runway 16/34, taxiway a, the partial taxiway connectors located at the ends of the runways, and the apron. The preventative maintenance will include removal and replacement of all joint sealants for the areas mentioned. There will also be spall repair and slab replacement for any concrete panels where cracking or damage is observed. Any pavement markings that are damaged during construction will be replaced at no additional cost to the sponsor.
