Description: Work will include the removal and abandonment of the existing underground utilities. Approximately 2,850 feet of existing utilities will be abandoned with fcdf and approximately 2,375 feet of existing utilities will be completely removed. Minor grading will be required to provide positive drainage upon completion of existing utility abandonment and removal. Additionally the existing clear well will be removed to one (1) foot below grade and filled with compacted granular backfill.

The improvements proposed at the plant include the installation of pressurized iron and manganese filtration system with GreenSand+ media, the installation of a Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) adsorption system for removal of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination, and a complete filter backwash wastewater handling and discharge system. The upgrades shall be installed with all process and potable water and sanitary piping, valves, and appurtenances, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and connections to the existing system. The improvements shall also include the construction of a new CMU masonry building, and all associated structural improvements necessary to support the structures.

Work of the project includes water recovery and waste process improvements at the water treatment plant.
