The foreign affairs security training center (fastc), operational medicine unit (ds/t/fastc/fto/omu) has a need for certified, experienced contractor support to enhance emergency response services. The contractor shall provide: on-site advanced life support (als) ambulances, equipment, and appropriately certified personnel. The contractor shall maintain commonwealth of virginia certification as an als ambulance service. Certification requirements must meet commonwealth of virginia standards and be consistent with the requirements delineated in this document. Finally, the contractor shall sufficiently garage, maintain and calibrate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations and licensing agency standards. On-site fire suppression equipment suitable for extinguishing fires associated with vehicular or explosive accidents (minimum 300-gallon tank per fire suppression vehicle) and personnel trained in its operations and maintenance. Fire suppression must have the capability to perform vehicle stabilization and extrication of large sport utility vehicles. The contractor shall respond on-site within six (6) minutes of being notified of any incident occurring at the assigned government facility. The contractor must sufficiently garage, maintain, and calibrate all vehicles and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
