Summary
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), through its Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations (OLAO), issued federal presolicitation 75N98026Q00707 seeking a qualified contractor to provide exosome purification, exosomal RNA purification, and small RNA-sequencing services for the POTS clinical research study conducted at Dr. Paule V. Joseph's laboratory at the NIH Bethesda, Maryland campus. The procurement is pursued on behalf of NICHD in collaboration with NIAAA to process plasma specimens from 31 human research participants without compromising specimen integrity or previously collected clinical data. The selected contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, instrumentation, reagents, and materials to isolate intact exosomes from 0.5 mL plasma aliquots, purify exosomal RNA, perform Illumina small RNA-sequencing (1x51 bp, ~20M raw reads/sample), and deliver basic bioinformatics output to the Government.
