Empowering Customers Gap Analysis (RFP)

Conduct a gap analysis focused on identifying what information and support people need to navigate clean energy decisions. Homeowners, building operators, residents, and business owners experience a multitude of options and new technologies when it comes to managing their energy usage. On top of this, more program administrators and funding sources give people even more options to learn about. Homeowners face questions on whether their home is suited for solar, and who they can trust to advise them on home upgrades. There is also more potential for scams as more businesses emerge in the energy field. Businesses and building owners are experiencing changes to building efficiency and equipment standards and need to figure out how to comply in the most cost-effective way. Decision makers in all sectors experience their own versions of this, and it is not always clear where to get trustworthy information to guide one's decisions. This gap analysis is expected to achieve the following objectives: Develop a shared understanding of information or navigation support needs across customer segments. Document ongoing work to address identified needs. Identify gaps not being addressed or in need of more attention, point to market actors already working or interested in this area.
