The work includes performing traffic signal and safety improvement tasks at various intersections throughout the City, as directed by the City Engineer. Improvements consist of modifying existing traffic signal installations. Typical tasks include removing and replacing pedestrian push buttons and housings, installing yellow retroreflective tape on existing signal backplates, furnishing and installing longer mast arms on existing poles, adjusting signal heads, and upgrading or installing new video detection systems to enhance intersection safety and operational efficiency. The City intends to enter into an initial one (1)-year contract, with the option to renew for up to four (4) additional one (1)-year periods contingent to budget appropriations.
