Lower Croton Road Force Main Project RFP
Construction of the force main consists of installation of approx 3,600 LF of various size force main piping installed via open cut, horizontal directional bore, and jack and bore. Installation of the force main will begin at the capped terminus of the recently-constructed Western Sewer Force Main Phase 1 Project. Work for this project will include but is not limited to the following: installation of 12" PVC, 16" PVC, 24" PVC, 30" PVC, 36" PVC, and 36" force main, fittings, valves, connections, asphalt and sidewalk removal and replacement restoration, clearing and grubbing as needed, restoration of site landscaping, irrigation, roadway, other affected facilities, and necessary maintenance of traffic.

Replacement of existing twelve (12”) inch and sixteen (16”) inch diameter water main segments within the established franchise area with no planned increase in the Authority's existing water allocation permit. Replacement of these water mains will utilize horizontal directional drilling (HDD) techniques in order to harden the existing distribution system with minimal impact to the physical environment.

Work also includes abandonment of various facilities and sewers and installation of gravity lines to transfer flow from existing sewers into the new pump station.
