The Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government Public Works department is soliciting bids for installation of vertical deflection devices (speed humps, speed tables, raised pedestrian crossings) on Metro-owned roadways within Jefferson County. Work includes all labor, materials, equipment, compliance with ADA and MUTCD standards, and is procured on a unit pricing basis with individual work orders not to exceed $50,000. This Invitation for Bid requests contractors to perform installation, modification, and reconstruction of traffic signals on interstate, state, and local roads in Montgomery and Prince George's Counties, including signal structures, controller cabinets, UPS, LED signals, Accessible Pedestrian Signals, ADA ramp and sidewalk upgrades, intersection lighting, signs, cameras, and loop detection. The contract is an areawide project composed of individual work assignments with varying scopes and an estimated total project cost between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000; it requires compliance with federal/state construction specifications and has DBE/MBE participation goals.
