Comprehensive Hiv Prevention Services for Persons Who Inject Drugs (Request for Proposal)
Provide comprehensive HIV prevention services to persons who inject drugs. The purpose of these Ending the HIV Epidemic services is to eliminate HIV transmission in San Diego County through coordinated efforts in HIV prevention, diagnosis, treatment and outbreak response. The focus of this contract will be 1) identifying individuals who are vulnerable to HIV infection and linking them to HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and other needed services; 2) identifying persons living with HIV and linking them to HIV treatment and other needed services; and 3) conducting referrals to other health and support services such as substance use disorder treatment, syringe service programs, and mental health services.
