Provide commuter rail services - maintenance of way (mow) and signal systems.

Provide on-call rail systems engineering business operations support services. scope encompasses a broad spectrum of systems, spanning rail vehicle onboard systems, back-office system applications, wayside systems, and their associated communication and network infrastructures. Consultant shall provide technology and management services related to the planning, designing, implementation, operations, maintenance and management of various railroad system initiatives. Consultant shall be able to provide technical and functional support in sufficient depth to meet the Agency’s project requirements.

Seeking applicants for transit, rail, and commuter assistance program (CAP) grants for the 2027 fiscal year. Eligible project categories include capital purchases, administrative and operating costs, technical assistance, demonstration grants, and commuter assistance program costs. Funds are available for rail initiatives through the Freight and Rail Preservation program. In addition, funding to provide access to freight rail shipping for Virginia businesses is available year-round through the Rail Industrial Access program.
