The Town of Plainfield seeks design engineering services to reconstruct approximately two miles of Brook Road (mile 2.6 to 4.6) and replace bridges destroyed by the July 10, 2024 flood. The selected consultant will evaluate three alternatives, complete NEPA/permits, develop preliminary and final design documents, provide ROW plans if necessary, prepare bid documents and estimates, and assist during construction while complying with federal and state requirements. The project is funded in part by the Federal Highway Administration and the Vermont Agency of Transportation; proposals are due Feb 11, 2026 and contract work is expected to begin on or about Feb 25, 2026.

Additional work includes traffic control, protection of campus facilities, coordination to maintain access during construction, and all incidental work necessary to complete the project in accordance with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards.
