Summary
The Department of Children's Services provides continued foster care services to young adults ages 18-23 that have aged out of foster care and to young adults that exited foster care to adoption or subsidized permanent guardianship after the age of 16 through its Bright Futures program (formerly Extension of Foster Care). The goal of the program is to assist young adults with the transition to adulthood with skills, knowledge, experience, and supports necessary for them to obtain education, housing, employment, health services, and permanent supportive relationships. The Department is seeking to partner with an agency to provide statewide case management services for approx. 1,200 young adults annually served in the program.
