Description: Work includes: by removing an existing three-span non-composite prestressed concrete box beam structure, reinforced concrete piers, abutments, and approach slabs, and replacing with a new composite prestressed concrete box beam structure, cap / column piers, integral abutments on cast-in-place concrete pile foundations, and new reinforced approach slabs. Project includes guardrail upgrades, drainage improvements, minor asphalt paving at approaches, and other related work. Major items feature 1,127 SY of pavement removal; 274 FT of curb removal; 255 CY of excavation; 237 CY of embankment; 87.5 FT of guardrail installation; 1,849 SF of 6" concrete walk; 311 CY of rock channel protection; 235 CY of asphalt concrete base; 100 FT of sanitary sewer conduit; 2 conventional light poles; 6,440 FT of 14" cast-in-place reinforced concrete piles driven; 117,470 LB of epoxy coated steel reinforcement; 110,385 LB of galvanized steel reinforcement; 72 prestressed concrete box beam bridge members; and 427 SY of reinforced concrete approach slabs.
