Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Water Filtration Systems
The State of Maryland, through the Department of General Services (DGS), seeks installation and maintenance of granular activated carbon (GAC) filtration systems for private residences whose drinking-water wells are contaminated with volatile organic compounds. The work includes installing 2.0- or 3.5-cubic-foot systems and appurtenances, supplying carbon and additional treatment equipment where needed, and performing inspections, carbon change-outs, and emergency responses. The Maryland Department of the Environment will oversee the five-year contract, and the procurement is reserved for certified small businesses with the stated experience, licensing, and certification requirements.
