The contract has a maximum five-year term (initial 1 year plus four 1-year renewals) and requires submission of proposals including pricing, qualifications, and experience.

On-call augmented labor services to supplement Tacoma Power field crews and maintenance staff. The scope of work shall include American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code welding, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program with dam, spillway, penstock, bridge, and other infrastructure inspection capabilities, Water pump and compressor rebuilding, Metal component fabrication, Structural Steel rigging and erection, General hydroelectric machine mechanical work, Troubleshooting of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, Major and minor repairs to hydroelectric turbines, Major and minor repairs to electrical generators, Major and minor repairs of hydraulic conveyance structures, Support services, such as material purchasing and equipment rental, All associated trades required for general construction, remodeling and building maintenance work, including carpentry, concrete and masonry, electrical and including
those other trades.
The contractor shall provide a system that meets the following performance objectives: A station that can be mobile and simple set-up in different locations as needed with minimum training required for set-up and teardown. Support up to 5 users at one time. Must be compatible with the M17 weapon system. Scenario based training that is designed to increase decision-making proficiency, standardize training, enhance de-escalation effectiveness, improve weapons handling safety including dry fire.
