MTA offers life and disability insurance benefit plans to all non-represented employees and certain represented employees. Retired employees are eligible for Basic Life Insurance. In total, approximately 84,000 lives are covered under these benefit plans. Life insurance coverage is also available for eligible dependents for certain active represented and non-represented employees. The life and disability insurance plans included in this request for proposal are for those employees and retirees who are currently insured or eligible to be insured.
