ActiveThis Agreement establishes a mutual arrangement between Benton County and Franklin County for the use of each other's jail facilities for inmate confinement. The agreement primarily facilitates an 'inmate swap' for in-kind consideration. In cases where an in-kind swap is not feasible, the Receiving County will be compensated at a rate of $118.00 for every 24-hour period an inmate is housed. The agreement also details provisions for medical costs, inmate transportation, transfer of custody, refusal/return of inmates, record keeping, indemnification, and non-discrimination. The term of the agreement is from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2026, with options for annual renewal by addendum.
