About this conference
The Inaugural Youth Changemakers Summit, hosted by the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at IU Indianapolis, will bring together youth philanthropy organizations from across the country. Scheduled for June 12-15, 2026, the summit aims to teach attendees how to 'Put the Fun in Fundraising.' It will provide a national convening space with separate tracks for high school students (youth changemakers) and their advisors. Youth attendees will engage in skills-based workshops to prepare them for hosting giving days in their communities, participate in networking events, and experience 'The Amazing Race for Good.' Advisors will learn best practices, resources, and fundraising techniques. Highlights include student-led panels, youth philanthropy awards, TED-style talks by current students, and workshops on fundraising and careers in philanthropy. A pre-summit social event will also be held at The Fowling Warehouse. The initiative seeks to introduce high school students to the scope of philanthropy and career opportunities, while providing resources and training for adult leaders supporting youth-led philanthropy.
