Wrightslaw Special Education Law and Advocacy Conference and The Collaborative IEP Experience

A two-day, in-person special education law and advocacy conference designed for parents/caregivers of students with IEPs and 504 Plans, as well as the professionals who support them. Hosted by Meier & Barlow Law Firm and The Collaborative IEP at BB Riverboats in Newport, Kentucky, overlooking the Ohio River and the Cincinnati skyline. The conference focuses on practical legal knowledge, collaborative advocacy, and meaningful connection among everyone involved in or supporting the IEP process. Day One features Pete Wright, Esq., on special education law, rights, responsibilities, tests and measurements, SMART IEPs, and effective advocacy tactics. Day Two, led by Ashley Barlow, Esq., focuses on applying legal knowledge, negotiation strategies, productive conflict, and empowering participation in IEP and 504 processes, emphasizing confident advocacy, smarter strategy, and better outcomes.
