The APWA Iowa Chapter is excited to offer two popular certificate programs and an Iowa State Roadeo Competition. The certificate programs provide comprehensive skills and knowledge about winter maintenance operations for participants. The Winter Maintenance Supervisor Certificate is designed for forepersons, supervisors, and managers of winter maintenance operations, focusing on policy, planning, materials, weather, equipment, snow & ice control, and environmental impacts. The Winter Maintenance Operator Certificate provides a practical overview of snow and ice control for operators, covering materials, equipment operations, and snow & ice control techniques. The Iowa State Roadeo Competition allows operators to test their precision and skills in three courses: Single Axle Truck, Skid Steer, and Mini Excavator.
