West Virginia Student Leadership Conference

The West Virginia Student Leadership Conference (WVSLC) is an annual training event designed for student government representatives and student body leaders from public two- and four-year colleges and universities across West Virginia. Participants learn essential leadership skills, network with peers and higher education administrators, and exchange ideas for effective campus community engagement. The conference features workshops and round-table discussions addressing a variety of leadership topics, strategies for engaging with local, state, and federal officials, increasing community involvement, providing student support systems, and addressing campus mental health issues through awareness, intervention services, and advocacy. It is co-sponsored by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission and the West Virginia Community and Technical College System.
