About this conference
The West Virginia Emergency Management Conference 2026 will bring together emergency management professionals, government officials, first responders, and community partners for three days of education, collaboration, and networking. The conference will explore the full disaster lifecycle. Sessions will focus on preparedness, response, mitigation, and recovery. Attendees will gain practical insights from experienced practitioners and leaders while discussing the challenges and opportunities shaping emergency management today. During the the WV EMC Conference 2026, educational sessions will explore disaster lifecycle management, weather operations, multi-domain response, and community partnerships. Attendees will also learn about shelter management, reunification planning, exercise design, economic recovery, and emerging trends in emergency management. State agencies will provide updates on key programs and initiatives affecting West Virginia communities. The conference will also feature a banquet with keynote speaker Pete Gaynor, former FEMA Administrator.
