About this conference
The Utah Native American Summit uniquely brings together State and Tribal leaders, community stakeholders, and engaged citizens to delve into the pressing matters and challenges facing Utah's American Indian population. This premier forum facilitates meaningful dialogue between Tribal leaders, state officials, and community partners, fostering a space where culture is honored, roadblocks are discussed, and collaborative, actionable solutions are forged for sustainable health, education, and economic development. The 2026 Summit will operate under the theme 'Strengthen Sovereignty through CommUNITY,' aiming to collaborate, discuss, and inspire the future leaders of Utah's Tribal Nations. It includes Government-to-Government meetings for tribal leaders and state agency liaisons, a Public Conference & Engagement adult track with breakout sessions on cultural education, economic development, health and wellness, and state tribal liaison training, and an Indigenous Youth Leadership Program for young leaders ages 14-24 focused on fostering leadership skills, cultural identity, and career pathway discovery.
