About this conference
The Texas Community College Safety Summit is a no-cost event that will consist of instruction focused on topics relevant to improving the safety and security of community college campuses. The summit provides attendees the opportunity to participate in sessions led by their Texas community college peers, who will share common challenges they face and how they overcome them with local best practices. Attendees will also participate in a 4-hour Reunification Tabletop Exercise designed to pressure test a college's emergency operations plan (EOP). Participants are encouraged to bring their college's Basic Plan, Reunification for Schools Annex, and supporting emergency preparedness plans, policies, procedures, and guides. Lessons learned can be used to strengthen a college's multi-hazard emergency operations plan.
