About this conference

Parks and Recreation teams across Arizona know that summer season brings big programs, big hiring needs, and big demands on staff. That's why we're gathering in the Town of Marana for a one-day professional development event focused on training, preparation, and staff wellness---built specifically for frontline staff, coordinators, supervisors, and middle managers. CHASSE Building Team is the presenting lunch sponsor. The event theme is 'Preparing for Summer -- Programs, People, and Preventing Burnout'. Attendees can expect an opening panel discussion featuring Parks and Recreation directors from Arizona's South Region, offering perspectives on staffing hurdles, seasonal onboarding, operational readiness, and maintaining quality service. Breakout sessions will cover topics such as Front-Line Staff & Customer Service Training and Maintaining Staff Morale & Avoiding Burnout. Roundtables will be dedicated to aquatics and youth programming, and there will be a guided tour of the brand-new Marana Aquatics and Recreation Center.
