About this conference

State of the Coast is a chance to have fun and learn while listening to informative talks on current marine science and policy issues, participate in hands-on activities, and network with research, industry, and community leaders. It is the only coastal conference in Oregon that brings together Oregonians interested in the coast to network, interact, and engage in current and future issues and opportunities facing Oregon's marine environment. Each year, State of the Coast moves to a different Oregon coastal community where it attracts approximately 200 attendees who receive relevant and timely scientific information delivered through a variety of learning and networking opportunities. At the conference, students present their work to a mixed audience, and they can also attend a professional development opportunity where they make connections with a broad range of experts and present to their peers. This is Oregon's coastal conference for everyone!
