About this conference
Hosted by the Supervisors of Low Incidence Population (SLIP) community of practice, the SLIP Winter Conference is an annual gathering of passionate professionals dedicated to low incidence programs and center-based services. This conference is designed to support the needs of supervisors overseeing low incidence programs and center-based programming. While the focus is on supporting supervisors and leaders in these specialized areas, everyone is welcome—and encouraged—to attend. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights on key topics such as Essential Elements/Curriculum, Alternatives to Seclusion/Restraint, and Building Capacity in Staff. Throughout the two-day event, participants will learn from expert presenters, engage in discussions with peers, and have designated time to work on action items to apply in their programs. Participants can expect timely, relevant sessions led by statewide experts and experienced peers, interactive learning formats that go beyond sit-and-get, networking and peer collaboration to share ideas, challenges, and solutions, and dedicated time for reflection and action planning. Supervisors are encouraged to bring their teams to maximize the learning experience and build shared momentum.
