About this conference
SkašdiCon is an Indigenous comic convention proudly hosted by the Cherokee Nation, celebrating Native work in pop culture and comics. This one-day event features graphic novel and Native pop culture panel discussions, opportunities to meet Indigenous artists and creators of fan art, and a family-friendly cosplay competition with prizes. The name 'Skasdi' is Cherokee slang conveying pride, impressiveness, awesomeness, fierceness, or feistiness, reflecting the spirit of comic book and video game characters celebrated at the convention.
