About this conference
Roco Rescue Challenge is an annual scenario-based event focused on confined space and high angle rope rescue in industrial and urban settings. The scenarios are designed by Roco instructors to be realistic and challenging, serving as both a training event and a competition. While scores are given and trophies are awarded, the primary objectives are skill-building, teamwork, and continuous improvement for rescue teams. The event also meets the annual rescue practice requirements of OSHA 1910.146 and provides Team Performance Evaluations (TPE) as referenced in NFPA 1006. All rescue teams are welcome to participate, and observer registration is available. Expert evaluators provide tailored feedback to help teams enhance their capabilities. It is an opportunity for teams to test their skills under pressure, identify deficiencies, and share ideas and techniques with other teams from across the nation.
