Pennsylvania Department of Education Conference 2027

This statewide conference, the Bureau of Special Education's signature event, is designed to support special education leaders, school administrators, school teams, educators, related service providers, agency partners, families, and others committed to improving outcomes for students with disabilities. It focuses on strengthening leadership and advancing system-level implementation of evidence-based practices. Attendees will learn and engage with nationally recognized presenters, highlighting effective leadership skills and strategies for implementing evidence-based practices designed to make an educational difference for all students. Eligible school and district leaders will have the opportunity to earn Act 45 continuing education hours while engaging in high-quality professional learning focused on effective implementation, capacity building, and improved student outcomes. The conference brings together nationally recognized experts, educational leaders, and innovative practitioners, providing opportunities to learn about effective leadership strategies, educational practices, successful implementation efforts, and scalable solutions. Presenters are expected to design sessions addressing leadership, systems change, implementation science, organizational capacity building, and sustainable practices that improve outcomes for students with disabilities. The 2027 PDE Conference will be offered in a hybrid format, with all presenters expected to present in person.
