Orlando Summer Institute

The AVID Summer Institute is a 3-day professional learning event designed to energize educators with practical strategies, meaningful collaboration, and clear next steps to support every student. Rooted in Growth and Branching Out Together, the 2026 Summer Institute blends proven instructional strategies with space to explore emerging challenges. It is anchored by three key elements: interactive Communities of Practice, an inspiring General Session (The AVID Experience), and dedicated Site Team time. Attendees will engage in immersive experiences, including optional AVID 101 and Leading Site Teams pre-sessions, to nurture ideas and cultivate relationships that grow thriving students and stronger communities. Participants will leave with instructional strategies ready for immediate use, shared language and expectations across Site Teams, alignment to year-start goals, deeper leadership capacity, collaborative planning structures, momentum to support college and career readiness, and scalable implementation practices.
