The 2026 WFAA Conference, themed "Rise of the Pack: Resilience, Renewal, and the Future of Financial Aid," is designed to provide valuable, up-to-date information vital to managing financial aid programs in Washington. The robust schedule of presentations will cover engaging and impactful sessions on topics such as regulatory changes and policy impacts (including OB3, Loan-Level Impacts, Program Loan Eligibility, and Pell Grant updates), OB3 implementation: lessons learned, impacts, and ongoing challenges, innovating in an unpredictable environment and supporting student success, student loan repayment and default management (including repayment transitions, RAP, PSLF, and graduate impacts), financial aid compliance and foundational practices (such as SAP, Verification, COA, Professional Judgment, and R2T4), and leadership and supervisory development (covering burnout prevention, career pathways, succession planning, and leading through change).

About Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators
WASFAA (Western Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) is a regional professional association of more than 1,000 financial aid administrators and professionals representing Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii and the Pacific Islands, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. Its mission is to promote financial aid awareness and student access to postsecondary education by providing training and professional development opportunities; membership includes individual, institutional, and associate members. Recently, WASFAA engaged in federal advocacy, for example, issuing a letter to Congress requesting a delay of GE and FTV reporting requirements to July 2025.
