The Joint Agency Commercial Imagery Evaluation (JACIE) Workshop is an annual event organized by the USGS EROS CalVal Center of Excellence (ECCOE) in collaboration with several federal agencies, including NASA, NGA, NOAA, NRO, and USDA. It brings together federal agencies, their partners, and the commercial remote sensing industry to characterize and evaluate remote sensing data. The workshop serves as a forum for remote sensing experts to discuss system capabilities, calibration, and the impacts of data quality on various applications. Highlights typically include presentations on new systems, methods for improving data, and potential new applications made possible by enhanced Earth observations, alongside poster sessions and vendor exhibits. A primary objective is to foster understanding of the characteristics, capabilities, and data quality of current and emerging remote sensing sources.
