About
About The National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (commonly known as the Uniform Law Commission)
The Uniform Law Commission (ULC) is a nonprofit association established in 1892 that drafts nonpartisan uniform and model state statutes to bring clarity and stability to state statutory law. Its commissioners are appointed by state and territorial governments and are composed of practicing lawyers, judges, legislators, and law professors who donate their time as a public service. Recently the ULC has continued to promulgate new acts via its Annual Meetings (for example, approvals of new acts at the 2024 and 2025 Annual Meetings), and its Uniform Partition of Heirs Property Act had been enacted in many states as of 2024.
