Texas Hospital Association

The Texas Hospital Association (THA) is the leadership organization and principal advocate for Texas hospitals and health care systems, founded in 1930 and based in Austin. It represents more than 85 percent of the state’s acute-care hospitals and health care systems — collectively employing more than 400,000 health care professionals — and works to improve accessibility, quality and cost-effectiveness of health care for all Texans. Recent activity includes advocacy to preserve enhanced premium tax credits to help keep about 1 million Texans insured and the announcement of THA’s 2025 annual award winners at the THA Annual Conference.
