About StateRAMP
GovRAMP (operating as the public brand for StateRAMP) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership organization that promotes standardized cloud-security verification and risk management for the public sector. Its membership includes cloud service providers (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), third-party assessment organizations, and government officials, and it convenes working groups and committees to set verification standards. In February 2025 the organization announced a rebrand from StateRAMP to GovRAMP (StateRAMP will legally remain the organization’s name but will operate as GovRAMP) to reflect a broadened mission across state, local, tribal, and educational institutions and to strengthen public–private collaboration on cybersecurity.
