American Theological Library Association

Atla Annual 2026 is a hybrid event dedicated to religion and theology librarianship, serving librarians, information professionals, scholars, faculty, and religious leaders. The conference provides a platform for exchanging ideas, learning from peers, and collaborating on scholarship in religion and theology. It features pre-conference workshops, concurrent sessions, all-conference luncheons, plenary speakers, and opportunities to visit SBL/AAR exhibits. The event aims to foster new skills and best practices in theological librarianship, increase the visibility of the field within the larger academic community, and facilitate networking with theological faculty and deans. This 2026 event will replace the usual June meeting and marks Atla’s 80th anniversary.
