North Carolina Rural Center

The NC Rural Center's signature annual gathering of rural leaders, community champions, policymakers, and partners from across North Carolina. The 2027 Rural Summit will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the NC Rural Center's founding with the theme 'Our Legacy, Our Future.' This event will honor the people, ideas, and communities that have shaped the history of rural North Carolina and continue to build places where all people can live and thrive. The summit will explore the strong impact of rural communities, featuring breakout sessions categorized around the four foundational pillars of the NC Rural Center: Leadership, Capital, Advocacy, and Capacity Building. Proposals are sought that showcase innovative work, practical solutions, compelling stories, and meaningful collaboration across rural North Carolina.
