National Association of State Technology Directors

The National Association of State Technology Directors (NASTD) is a member-driven nonprofit that advances and promotes the effective use of information technology to improve the operation of state government. Its membership comprises state IT departments from the 50 states and corporate affiliate members that provide IT products and services; members often support state agencies and public institutions including colleges and universities. Founded in 1978 and an affiliate of The Council of State Governments, NASTD has established federal partnerships (e.g., SAFECOM/DHS) and maintained standing committees such as an E-rate committee supporting schools and libraries.
