The 67th Annual National Dialogues on Behavioral Health (NDBH) Conference, themed 'Harnessing Artificial Intelligence: Innovation, Integrity, Impact,' will explore the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and behavioral health. The conference, the oldest ongoing annual behavioral health conference in the United States, aims to bring together experts, administrators, providers, consumers, family members, and advocates. Sessions will focus on balancing AI's potential for expanding access and efficiency with critical considerations for safety, privacy, and accountability across behavioral health systems. Topics will include AI fundamentals and applications, data and predictive analysis, AI in clinical care and support, governance, regulation, accountability, and the impact of AI on the behavioral health workforce. The conference seeks to foster discussions on cutting-edge topics, focusing on practical implementation and 'how-to' solutions for improving behavioral health systems and services for individuals with complex needs, including those with serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions.

About
About National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors
The National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) is a national association, founded in 1959 and based in Alexandria, VA, that represents state mental health commissioners/directors and their agencies across all states, territories, Pacific Jurisdictions, and the District of Columbia. NASMHPD’s mission is to serve the nation’s public behavioral health system through policy, technical assistance, and collaboration with federal partners; recent notable activities include supporting SAMHSA’s State TA Project, announcing a major investment in Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and recognizing leaders in the field (e.g., Dr. Debra Pinals receiving the 2025 Judge Stephen S. Goss Lifetime Achievement Award).
