National Association of Realtors

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) is a U.S. professional trade association for real estate practitioners that runs national and state meetings, hosts conferences and summits (e.g., Real Estate Forecast Summit), and operates community and economic-development programs (Placemaking Grants; 'Transforming Neighborhoods' in partnership with CRE Consulting Corps). NAR provides resources and convening opportunities that intersect with downtown revitalization, municipal economic development, redevelopment and business attraction, and it partners with local REALTOR® associations and public-sector stakeholders to deliver consulting, grants, and events. While NAR is not primarily an economic-development agency like IEDC, it organizes conferences and programs relevant to city economic development.
