National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials

NAHRO (the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials) is a U.S. membership organization of more than 26,000 housing and community development providers and professionals. Its mission is "To advance the creation of strong, sustainable and affordable communities through advocacy, professional development, and empowerment of our diverse members." Recent notable items include the organization’s 2023–2028 strategic plan, active federal advocacy (for example, a 2025 August Advocacy in which advocates sent 68,365 letters to Congress), and a Statement of Shared Commitment adopted in September 2025.
