Labor and Employment Relations Association

The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) is a national professional association (founded in 1947) that brings together labor, management, government officials, academics, advocates, and neutrals to share research, policy, and practice in labor and employment relations. Its membership includes academics, HR and compensation professionals, labor leaders, attorneys, arbitrators/mediators, and government officials; LERA publishes an annual Research Volume, the magazine Perspectives on Work, and a semi-monthly eBulletin, and it organizes an Annual Meeting and chapter events. Recent notable items on the site include announcement of the 2025 LERA award winners and scheduling of the 78th Annual Meeting (May 28–31, 2026) and LERA@ASSA (Jan 3–5, 2026).
