Kansas Department of Labor

The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) is the State of Kansas agency responsible for unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, labor standards, industrial safety and health, and labor relations. KDOL directly organizes and hosts events relevant to workforce, safety, and labor relations—most notably an Annual Safety and Health Conference (Division of Industrial Safety & Health) that targets employers, HR/training personnel, and labor/occupational-safety professionals. KDOL is a relevant state agency for workforce and HR-related conferences (state workforce conference, labor relations, state HR, personnel management, state employees), though some statewide workforce conferences (e.g., Kansas Workforce Innovation Conference) are hosted by other state agencies such as the Kansas Department of Commerce and Kansas Board of Regents.
