International Writing Centers Association

IWCA (International Writing Centers Association) is a professional association, founded in 1983 and affiliated with the National Council of Teachers of English, that supports and fosters the development of writing centers and the field of writing center studies. Membership is open to writing center professionals, scholars, and tutors and provides benefits including grants, mentor matching, awards nominations, and reduced registration rates for events. Recently IWCA has posted calls for board nominations and volunteers, published a GenAI Task Force update and survey, and is organizing the 2025 NCPTW/IWCA conference.
