International Literacy Association

The International Literacy Association (ILA) is a global professional membership and advocacy organization focused on literacy across schools, libraries, and adult education. ILA produces conferences and events (digital and partnered in-person) including ILA Next (digital professional learning), webinars, and partnerships/co-sponsorships with state/regional literacy conferences; they support chapters’ conferences and provide programming relevant to adult education, digital literacy, ESL, teacher preparation, and workforce-related literacy topics. Although ILA no longer runs a large-scale annual in-person conference since 2020, it organizes and hosts substantive digital conferences and partners with local/state literacy associations to support in-person conferences—making it a strong match for “Library - Literacy & Workforce Conference Organizer.”
