Illinois Rural Water Association

The 21st Annual Northern Conference, hosted by the Illinois Rural Water Association (IRWA), is a two-day event focusing on water and wastewater training sessions. Attendees can earn 10.75 Water Credits and 5.5 Wastewater Credits. The conference will feature 30 to 37 exhibitors showcasing their latest products and services. Key sessions include updates from Rural Development and the IEPA (Illinois Environmental Protection Agency) on regulations and staff, technical presentations on valve maintenance, remote monitoring telemetry, ecosystem balancing, ductile iron pipe installation, aeration techniques for water and wastewater systems, stakeholder communications for infrastructure projects, and practical applications of AI in utilities. Further sessions will cover proper lab procedures, SCADA systems, and sampling handling with Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs).
