The Florida Economic Development Council’s IGNITE Annual Conference brings together the people, ideas and partnerships shaping Florida’s economic future. From May 4–7, 2027, economic development professionals, business executives, educators, policymakers, site selection consultants and industry partners will gather at the Omni Hotel in Fort Lauderdale to create new connections, exchange ideas and strengthen Florida’s competitive position. IGNITE is more than an annual meeting. It is an opportunity to learn from professionals working across the state, explore emerging economic development strategies and build relationships that can lead to new investment, stronger communities and lasting collaboration. Florida’s economy is strengthened when its leaders come together. IGNITE 2027 will create an environment where attendees can share perspectives, discuss challenges and discover practical approaches they can take back to their organizations and communities. The annual FEDC Awards & Recognition Program is an important part of the IGNITE experience. Each year, FEDC recognizes the organizations, projects, partnerships and professionals demonstrating creativity, collaboration and measurable impact throughout Florida. The program highlights successful business recruitment and expansion efforts, innovative partnerships, effective marketing initiatives, outstanding websites and emerging leaders within the profession. Beyond recognizing achievement, the awards program allows Florida’s economic development community to share proven strategies and real-world success stories.
